Started in 2007, the “Texas vs. The Nation” college all-star game is quickly becoming one of the more popular postseason exhibitions in the country. It pits players originally from Texas or those who played college football there against top players from around the nation.
Last year, 93% of those who played in the game signed NFL contracts so for any NFL fan who wants to track incoming talent, he had better know who stood out in the Texas vs. The Nation game.

The Jets’ game vs. Pittsburgh overshadowed one of the primary college all star games – the East-West Shrine Game - and even though it was played two weeks ago, it is not too late to look over some prospects that would make sense for Gang Green.
This game does not have the same caliber of talent as the Senior Bowl but every year there are plenty of guys who play in this game that earn roster spots with an NFL club. In 2010, thirty three players who played in the East-West Shrine game were drafted.

Okay Jets fans, although the Jets’ season ended just over a week ago, it is time to move on and shift our focus to next season. The Jets have 17 free agents and many of them will not be back next year.
With the uncertainty surrounding the league’s collective bargaining agreement, it is anyone’s guess as to what the salary cap and free agency will look like or whether there will even be a season for that matter.
