Has the agility and speed to chase down ball carriers on the perimeter. Strong and aggressive – can jolt offensive lineman back in his stance. Very instinctive – diagnoses plays quickly. Disciplined – stays at home vs. misdirection. Has the athleticism to drop into coverage although he lacks the fluid hips to turn and run – better defending passes in front of him. May lack the size to set the edge against the run. Plays with a high motor and is relentless in pursuit. Holds his own versus the double team. Pursues plays down the line. A bit of a “tweener” – can struggle vs. bigger blockers against the run.
